Bypass at Farahan Square intersection to reopen

According to the Department of Communications and International Affairs of the municipality, Hossein Zandvakili, Deputy for Infrastructure and Urban Transport Affairs, announced the concrete pouring for the bypass of the Farahan Square intersection and stated: In line with reducing traffic load and smoothing traffic flow in the area, the construction of the grade-separated Farahan intersection is being pursued seriously. This project, designed with the aim of improving urban traffic flow and removing traffic bottlenecks, has so far faced numerous obstacles and challenges, including resolving technical impediments such as relocating the water pipeline of Kمال-Saleh Dam from over the bridge deck, which has been addressed through the efforts of the city management, and the project’s construction operations have begun in earnest. Zandvakili said regarding the start of the project’s executive operations: One of the key stages of this project began with the implementation of the bypass and U-turn concrete pouring operations. This operation, which includes pouring approximately 150 cubic meters of concrete, started from the early hours of the morning using heavy equipment and the presence of specialized construction teams and will continue until around noon. He added: The purpose of this stage is to accelerate the completion of the intersection bypass and provide the basis for its early operation in order to reduce traffic load and facilitate citizens’ movement on the routes leading to the Farahan intersection. With the operation of this section, it is expected that part of the traffic pressure on the area’s main road network will be significantly reduced. Zandvakili added: The concrete used in this operation has been selected in accordance with current technical standards and with the aim of ensuring quality, durability, and structural safety, and the execution process is carried out under the close supervision of technical experts. According to the schedule, completing this stage is considered an important step toward the final operation of the project and the upgrading of urban transport infrastructure in this area.
